#1226 Scrolling on Mac OS X

> What steps will reproduce the problem? Open a flash document and resize the screen so that there is a horizontal scrollbar Scroll on a trackpad or a mouse. > What is the expected output? What do you see instead? FFDec should scroll horizontally, or use 360° scrolling if enabled. But it scrolls vertically instead. Additionally, scrolling *vertically* in an area where there are horizontal scrollbars but no vertical ones, scrolls horizontally. While this may be a native behavior in Windows, it isn't for Mac. FFDec, preferably, should also not use steps for scrolling; Mac users are used to smooth scrolling. They don't scroll in steps like Windows mice do. > What version of the product are you using? Is it "nightly build"? Which operating system do you have? FFDec v8.0.1, not nightly, Mac OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan on a MacBook (Mid-2009) > Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is related to a SWF file, attach it here, otherwise we can't help you. Not much else needed.

Did you try other java applications? I think this is the scrolling mode of java controls, what we can't really modify easily.

"FFDec should scroll horizontally, or use 360° scrolling if enabled. But it scrolls vertically instead." So you have both horizontal and vertical scrollbars? In this case it scrolls vertically, I think it is normal.. at least in Windows. If there is only a horizontal scrollbar it scrolls horizontally (in Windows) Probably it also depends on the Java implementation on mac, so most likely it won't be fixed in FFDec. You can write to Oracle to improve the scrolling experience of the java controls for the mac version :)
