When adding a letter to a font in the FONTS tab, using either OK or EMBED, my added
character is massively oversized compared to the others. How do I fix this?

You can normalize fonts in this SWF,
then you add the character in normal size.
"Normalize fonts" is available under right click context menu on the SWF node.
