I can use .TTF fonts like Times New Roman just fine, but .OTF fonts such as Burbank don't
even show up in the Source Font dropdown.

Beware that if you install a font in your system, the list of source fonts in FFDec is not
updated immediately.
As far as I remember, you need to exit and start FFDec again.
This is problem of Java applications and I can't do mucha about it.
Are you sure you fresh started FFDec?

Yes, I've had these fonts installed for a very long time. Completely fresh start.
I tried it with Burbank-Big-Condensed-Bold.otf from attachment and it showed up for me.
Which operating system and what Java have you got?
