I'm aware its been posted as a bug before but i agree it would be nice to have an option to not generate an added Scripts Layer within the timeline of some projects that primarily or wholely use as3.

I added that option in nightly 2673, you can enable it in Advanced settings / Export / "FLA export - AS3 - disable script layer".

State: new→upgraded

Sorry, the nightly is nightly 3476, not 2673. That was the issue number.
