It would be nice to have the possibility to replace binary data with new files e.g by exporting them first, editing them in an external editor and replacing the old data similar to the same feature for images.

Adding new binary data would be nice too.

Replacing binary data feature was added earlier in issue #440. You can try it with the latest nightly build.
