> What steps will reproduce the problem? 1) Dissassemble a swf. The SWF I experienced this problem with is attached. (first file) 2) Find a sound file of choice, preferably a lenghty one, and export it twice; once as .wav file, and once as .mp3 file. 3) Listen to both of them and certain tones will be distorted noticably. Two sample audio files taken from the above SWF that exhibit this are attached. (MP3 is the first one, wave is the second one.) Note: Chrome seems to fix this sound glitch somehow, please download the files and listen to them rather than viewing them in Chrome if you use that. > What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I was expecting the same quality. I am hearing significant quality decrease with certain tones in the MP3 that I do not hear in the Wave file. > What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? The latest, on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with java 1.8.0_40. The sound engine is the latest version of PulseAudio (the latest at the time of writing this that is). > Please provide any additional information below. If you do not want to publish files YOU CAN CHANGE VISIBILITY TO PRIVATE Chrome does not appear to exhibit the strange noises, while all my other audio playing programs do.
